Welcome

Relentless has been around since 2000 and was formed as a competitive clan for ]V[ega ]V[od UT99. Over time the clan members have moved on to many of the new games but still keep our friendships alive through our website.

With the changing times, we felt it was time to update our website and work on converting our group into the base of a gaming community which will keep alive the original friendly spirit that made this clan to great. Please feel free to catch up on the forums, grab some downloads, and gather your friends on our teamspeak.

If you have any suggestions or questions, let us know in the forums. I hope you enjoy the new Relentless website.

Call of Duty 4

For those of you who live under a rock, I wanted to make a quick endorsement for CoD4. If you haven't given this game a try, you really need to pick up a copy. This game is available on XBOX but the real fun is with the PC based platform that we are all so familiar with.

I would characterize the gameplay as a cross between the fighting and tactics of DC/CS, with the fast paced action of our UT days. There are several game modes in multiplayer to give you the flavor you prefer. Search and Destroy offers a full CS strategic goal, while the other end of the spectrum (Deathmatch) gives you the rush of an instant spawn and endless opponents.

I really feel like this is a game that our crew can get together for again. It has been a while since we have battled at each other's side, and it would be great to get together for some casual encounters. Come on guys, let's revive at least a little bit of our former glory!

Orange Box

For those of you who don't know already, the Orange Box by Valve has been released on Steam. The package includes Half Life 2: Episode Two, Portal, and Team Fortress 2.

I highly recommend these games. So far I have liked every HL game Valve has produced because they focus so much on quality, unlike the crap we are usually served by EA (especially the BF series). While I have yet to play Episode Two yet, Portal was a lot of fun with some cool challenges and Team Fortress is a blast for a FPS. It would be great to have more join up like the good ol' days. Buy the package through Steam and give it a whirl.

Eye of the North

Looks like there will be one more expansion for Guild Wars called "Eye of the North". I can't confirm any of this since ArenaNet hasn't posted any information directly yet. So far it looks like the expansion will be the last release until Guild Wars 2 in 2009-2010. Looks interesting. Check out the link for more complete information.

Why we dont buy Vista until it says SP1 next to it.

Here n00b was too lazy to post this.

Microsoft confirms Vista can be Pwn3d just by talking to it. Repeat after me:

Wii Strap update

Actually the straps are being reported as defective.

[retort by Relentless]
Of course Nintendo has to claim the straps as defective in order to issue a replacement strap, but there is no actual recall. The real issue is that the strap shouldn't ever have to be put to the test, as long as the user is competent ;)

[retort by Instigator]
This is why we dont always listen to Relentless. It actually existed when he wrote it I just recently got the link from a co-worker. http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/strapreplace.jsp

[retort by Relentless, again]
Read the form, it says "replacement"
The wording is important in this case because my previous comment was stating how Nintendo wasn't calling the strap defective, but more so pointing to the fact that some of the players were retarded and needed stronger straps for throwing the controller like a baseball. I never said that they weren't giving a replacement.

[retort by Instigator, again]
Wow, do you hate to be wrong.
"Nintendo has to claim the straps as defective in order to issue a replacement strap" The fact that this form exists shows Nintentdo admitting to a problem.

My guess is the original intention/design was a way to hold onto your wiimote while grabbing a drink. Not to protect the idiots tv's or faces, There we agree. mr. technical.

[retort by Relentless, because this is fun]
I do agree with your last paragraph but with the knowledge that the straps do function as intended... people weren't supposed to be morons and throw the controllers. Look at it this way, you can pull a Coodie and overclock a motherboard without active cooling and still fill out a warranty form. Just because a form is there doesn't mean it was the companies wrong doing. ;)
